Upcoming Indian film Project K has some kind of LEGO collaboration

The upcoming Indian science fiction epic, Project K, has a collaboration with the LEGO Group planned and a panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

The Brick Fan reports that a press email has mentioned a collaboration between the LEGO Group and Project K, despite an official panel description not mentioning such a collaboration.

Project K is an upcoming Indian science fiction movie with a panel at San Diego Comic-Con on July 20 with a reveal planned for the event. It’s currently scheduled for release on January 12, 2024.

Specifically, the email mentions ‘integrating Indian cultural elements into LEGO sets and characters’ to ‘open doors to a new era of imaginative play and cross-cultural appreciation.’

Exactly what this collaboration could include has not been confirmed or detailed in any way. LEGO Monkie Kid has previously integrated another region’s culture into LEGO sets with the classic story of Journey to the West, its characters and more throughout the theme. However, there’s no guarantee that Project K will receive similar treatment at this time.

Whatever is reportedly happening between the LEGO Group and Project K, it seems plausible that we’ll find out more about it as well as the film on July 20 at San Diego Comic-Con.

The LEGO Group’s official and confirmed plans for San Diego Comic-Con include a NINJAGO and DREAMZzz panel, another for LEGO MASTERS and talent signings

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
