Cuusoo Pick #23 – Elsa’s Ice Palace

Frozen

I’m loving the new Disney Princess line and will be bringing you reviews in the near future, I hope LEGO have plans to extend the line with plenty of films LEGO have not yet touched upon, one being Frozen. My daughter and I both love this film and she knows the words to the main song like back of her hand and for this weeks main Cuusoo pick, Richard let me pick it so I bring you Elsa’s Ice Palace.

The project is by Cuusoo user Fohzen who has this to say about their concept “Welcome to my Lego Cuusoo project submission of Disney’s Frozen: Elsa’s Ice Palace! My family and I are extreme Lego fans and when the Lego Disney Princess line of new sets that came out this past January were released, the first question my daughter had was “Do they have a Frozen set with Elsa?”.

We quickly discovered to our surprise that Lego did not create one although I had to buy every single Disney Princess set that they did make for my daughter because they were awesome! As a couple weeks went by, I really felt that this was a missed opportunity by Lego and I really wanted to make my daughter’s favorite part of the whole movie-The Ice Palace! I knew I couldn’t cut corners, chince or go half way on this…it had to be awesome.”

The description goes on but why I picked it is that firstly they have built their concept out of existing LEGO and used Minidolls instead of minifigures which will keep it in line with Friends/Princess lines, the set would include both Esla and Anna, plus Oalf and the large snow creature as well. I think the concept at least will show LEGO that their is current demand for a Frozen set at least. Plus it would be good to see another project aimed more towards girls hit 10,000 supporters.

Interesting concept but I reckon LEGO would have this covered in future waves.
