Jericho BFVA 2015 Collaborative

News is quiet so time to go through our Flickr group and showcase some of the amazing creations found in there. First up is this mega build from earlier this year. This was a massive display do for BrickFair Virgina.

Justin and Jordan who’s photo this is did the walls, the largest building, the streets up to that building, and the 4 baseplate plaza in the back area. what I like is they even did a backstory:

“In the near future private corporations grow to the point of controlling the United States government, pooling their money into politicians and lawmakers to grossly tip the social scale in favor of the 1%. At the height if their power, the top corporations merged into a conglomerate to maintain their positions. Its name: Jericho. As this continued, the rich became disgusted with the quality of the lower class (now a singular entity), but instead of solving the problem, they closed themselves off behind huge, concrete walls that spanned the length of their clean, well-kept cities.

Years passed, and the United States became a land of two sides: the towering skyscrapers and streets of Jericho, and the shoddy slums of the rest of America.

Years of tension manifest into resistance as conditions hit their all time low; desperate attempts to breach the coveted cities of Jericho erupt from the unrest. Just as in biblical times, the walled city of Jericho will fall again…”
