New LEGO Musicians Minifigure collection revealed

New LEGO minifigure box sets are being launched as a series of Toys R Us exclusives, starting with Musicians Minifigure collection. These are reminiscent of previous minifigure box sets, usually given away free when a certain spend threshold is reached. This first pack looks to have mixed and matched existing minifigure parts to create a funky looking band.

The set was discovered by Brickset.com on the Toys R Us Germany website priced at €14.99. Hopefully the set will be rolled out around the world, so brick fanatics can check their spare parts box for some instruments.

This really does look like LEGO are just using up a bunch of sparse CMF parts from their store ‘build-a-minifig’ stations. I don’t really mind that too much as those are all good enough parts but what I don’t agree with is calling them ‘musicians’ and not even providing them with any sort of musical instrument.
Unless the musician is the one with the mic and everyone else is a backup dancer…
