New LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean ship for 2017?

A rumour has surfaced suggesting that Pirates of the Caribbean fans should expect a new direct to consumer LEGO ship next year. The Brick Fan is reporting that the ship will be priced between $200-$250 and will be the only set tied to the Disney franchise.

The Brick Fan editor Allen reports:

It was stated that it may be one of the new pirate ships in the franchise, possibly the Dying Gull or the Silent Mary. If you’ve read up on the movie, the Dying Gull and the Silent Mary are the two new pirate ghost ships that will be featured in the film.

The movie is due for release next May, and with the aftermarket prices of previous Pirates of the Caribbean sets consistently high, this will be a set to pick up during its shelf life.
