About the author: Richard

The name is Richard Hayes and I’m a 32 year old from North Sheffield and founder of Brick Fanatics, I’ve been a LEGO fan since my youth but I did have a number of dark years but since coming out of my dark age I have become very active on the LEGO scene. I am also the LEGO Ambassador for the website. I am not your typical AFOL as I am picky about what sets I buy plus I prefer to build and design my own stuff. In past I have been a LUG Showcase coordinator and also one of the founders of the Brickshire LUG.

Hi Richard. I don’t supoose you have any news on the other LOTR sets do you?

    • Richard

I asked the other day and the other sets are looking more likely to be late July or early August, will try and get it confirmed.

      • brickcluster

Thanks for getting back to me. guess I’ll have to wait a bit longer.

  • Adam

And you also get a poster too ;)

  • Matt

This is a seriously tempting set. How can I justify spending £170 on it to the wife, it’s not like I can hide it…

    • Richard

      A later Fathers Day gift?

Oooh I so want this but have this month’s freebies. Going to wait for July and hopefully pick up the freebie then (the hot dog stand?)

    • Richard

That is right Ferg, the hot dog stand is July’s freebie, I can’t wait to add that to my City.

I do really want this… what if they make the Eye of Sauron Tower O_O

My wife and I collect Lego together and I said we’d get Arkham or the Haunted House… but this!!!

    • Richard

Out of the two you mention my advice is the HH an awesome build and it stands alone without the need of any MF sets.

      • http://twitter.com/happymonkeyshoe Dyl Cook

Thanks Richard. I have been leaning toward the HH as it came out first (I assume it’ll disappear faster).

        • Richard

I assume so pal but not for a while yet.

    • brickcluster

Haunted house is also on the 50 bonus VIP points until 30th June so its a good time to buy if you’re a VIP member!

      • http://twitter.com/happymonkeyshoe Dyl Cook

I’m not a VIP member yet, I assume once I buy something, I will be?

I love the Haunted House. I bought a base plate for it and added the polybag MF cars for chauffeurs as well as the halloween accessory pack for a bit of population. Looks ace.

    • Richard

I bet that looks cool 8-)

  • Simon

As a Lord of the Rings completist I really want this as well. Will have to wait until it goes on general sale.

    • Richard

      Why is that?

  • Simon

    Lack of funds
