Three New LEGO Events

I have 3 new LEGO events, two for those in the Southern Hemisphere and 1 in the UK. The first of the three new events will take place is in May and will be the first ever event organized by Brickshire the newest LUG in the UK.  They will be displaying at the National Model Engineering and Modelling Exhibition at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate. The showground is ideally situated on the outskirts of Harrogate approximately 2 miles from the town centre, and is easily accessible by car or public transport.

This show has been going for over 20 years but will be the first show to feature LEGO creations. The event is £10 and takes place on Friday 10th, Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th. Full details here

The next one takes place in July in New Zealand,  The Christchurch Brick Show will take place on July 20th-21st, 2013 at the Air Force Museum in Christchurch, New Zealand.

The show will exhibit amazing LEGO models for all age groups in the amazing new hangar of the Air Force Museum. Enthusiasts and collectors will show their designs, collections and contraptions. Children will also have the opportunity to go hands on with dedicated LEGO activities in a dedicated LEGO play area.

They are proud to announce that ryan mcnaught, Australia’s only LEGO Certified Professional, will be a key presenter at the 2013 LEGO show! One of his most famous creations is the 5 meter tall LEGO Saturn V Rocket you can see below. Have a look at his other great creations on flickr.

The last event is in August and is called Brick Expo and is organised by the canberra lego user group. Brick Expo is an entertaining and interesting exhibition of rare and unique LEGO® creations by interstate and local collectors and modellers. This event will take place on the 10th and 11th of August.

Remember to email me if you know of any other LEGO events in your area.

About the author: Richard

The name is Richard Hayes and I'm a 31 year old from North Sheffield and founder of Brick Fanatics, I've been a LEGO fan since my youth but I did have a number of dark years but since coming out of my dark age I have become very active on the LEGO scene. I am also the LEGO Ambassador for the website. I am not your typical AFOL as I am picky about what sets I buy plus I prefer to build and design my own stuff.
